Colin brought this home. The assignment was to draw their favorite family activity. Colin chose ice skating at the Ice Palace. It's a great picture. The only problem is that we have never been ice skating at ice palace as a family. Dang. We've never done his favorite thing. We put all this effort into going camping over the weekend. It took so much work, but we did it and had a great time camping on the beach. And the only thing that occurred to Colin was that his favorite thing to do is to go ice skating with his family. Oh well. I guess we better go ice skating one of these days. Not the obvious choice in Hawaii, but we'll see if we can find a rink on the island . . . and some jagged edged ice skates for ripping it up out there!

That made me laugh really hard. Poor Colin. He has dreams, and you take him camping. I like that he even referred to a specific ice skating venue. Ice skating at the ice palace does sound quite exciting!

My favorite part is the jagged blades on those giant ice skates. What a funny kid! Did you tell him your favorite thing to do is to go dancing at the Palace? Like mother, like son.
That is TOO funny. Where do they get these things? Haha. I also love that you make believe Bob and Wendy w/ Charlie. Thats all I do all day is play Darla and Alfalfa w/ Molly (from LIttle Rascals)...or Rapunzel and the mean mudder (mother ;) Hope your week is going well.
